Oil extractor pump - a warning

Are they suitable for pumping fuel out of a tank and do they have a cut off when the container is full?

They have a cut off (well my 6L one does) a float hits the top and releases the vacuuum

There's a natural cut off when the container is full. There's no longer a vacuum!

That's good, I figured as much. Can they be used to pump fluid from the container as well as extract?

Never tried hooking one up to a compressor - could be a fun trick - but they pour nicely

You'd probably be better of getting a powered one, they will run without needing to stop but obviously you need a container for it to run into

I've got the one below, great for doing oil and done a couple diff cases with it, never tried a petrol tank tho
