Agreed. Vacuum bleeders can be useful but you usually need to seal the bleed nipple threads with e.g. some grease to prevent them leaking. Pressure bleeders have always worked well for me.I would suggest you buy a cheap steel oil can from halfords or the like stick a rubber hose on it. Fill with fluid ,check bleed nipples are not blocked and just pump the new fluid up hill to the master cylinder pot. Job done. It sounds simple and it is been doing this for years , give it a try.
