Pontiac Transmission?
Discussion
I own a 2008 pontiac g5. i noticed when going over a little bump in the road a few weeks ago that my car hums. I only really notice it around 25mph and upwards. when i first heard it, sounded like when a manual car is doing like 50 mph in 3rd gear, needs to downshift. So i thought it was overdrive problem
i tested by driving fast, putting it in neutral and cutting the engine. still heard the problem (it happens when i coast also, not just accelerating)
therefore its a trans problem right? Problem is, i dont know much about cars. I read that it could possibly be the front wheel bearings? could that be an issue? any recommendations?

As you know nothing about cars be an idea to speak to a Pontiac specialist or ask on a Pontiac owner's forum as they will likely be aware of particular/common issues with them.
