SGS Engineering tool cabinets
Discussion
Hi looking to get a new roll cab and have seen the SGS ones that look pretty similar to the US pro/ clarke stuff.
Does anyone have any experience of these? I am assuming that they are just rebadged Chinese imports, but was just wondering what the quality was like on them and what the company are like to deal with.
Specifically I am looking at this.
Thanks in advance.

I rate SGS stuff - I have a jack and engine crane from them, certainly fine for DIY use - and when I looked at the cabinets in their showroom when picking up the crane it struck me they were identical to the Halfords Pro or whatever the black range is called. Halfords don't do the double width unit, but I got the single width base, mid unit and top box in a bundle offer for not much more than that cabinet, which will equate to more storage. SGS do have offers now and again so I would watch out for them. Certainly adequate for DIY use, I'll never wear it out and I'm not going to abuse it - not up to the full Snap-On workshop grade, but fine for me.
That's great thanks.
I'm not looking for Snap On quality as I am just a home spanner monkey, however if the quality is there with the Halfords industrial stuff then that should be good enough for me.
I'm after the roll cab first as that should do for now, I can always add side lockers or a top box if I need to later, plus it means that I have more space to leave stuff lying around, freeing up space on the garage floor!

It's hard to see past Halfords for tool chests - the Professional or Industrial range are always on offer as a package and are very good quality.
I would imagine it'd be easier to resolve any issues with Halfords too - SGS customer service leaves a lot to be desired in my experience with a dodgy trolley jack
