VAT free day at Machine Mart soon - MIG welder advice
Discussion
Apparently theres a VAT free day in the coming weeks at Machine Mart and I think I'm going to need a welder.
I'm a total novice when it comes to welding, going to be using it to stitch the floorpan on my daily drive back together for its MOT.
What do I need in terms of functionality and can anyone recommend a particular welder?
Thanks in advance.

Another novice here, but a bit further down the line from you!
I bought a MIG to sort out a rusty 106, so quite thin metal, and decided I fancied a gas (having tried a gasless I thought it was pap!) machine which had as low power a mode as possible.
In the end I went for a Sealey Supermig 150, which is roughly equivalent to the Clarke 160TM.
Worth saying that a full-size bottle is definitely worth it if you think you'll keep the machine, the little disposable bottles are a pain for regulating the pressure.
