Yeah, hours of fun! I only changed the belt on mine, what fun. It was all done up stupid tight and the pivot bolt snapped even after copious amounts of penetrating oil and soaking. If I ever need to remove it properly, it's drill time (no real access) or smash the alty casting and then poke the remains out. That will be a happy day.

Removing the starter is even more fun. Just 2 bolts to remove. Go on then.

Dreadful engine, isn't it? Even just changing an oil filter is a crappy job.
