Hi all
I have a 1.6 hdi berlingo van normal problem it's killed itself ..was wanting to know of a "easy" engine swap it's on a 07 plate don't need speed or economy it's only used on fishing trips ...or if anyone in my area wants to do it for me give me a price ☺.. in West malling kent

Older more reliable 2.0hdi will go in but you'll probably run into hell with ancillaries

That 1.6HDI engines are crap, as already said the older 2.0HDI or even older 1.9 will fit in easily enough but none of the wiring will match up, would be easy enough to create a seperate loom for starting and charging but may be difficult to get instrumentation working.

Funnily enough I just drove it about 5 miles without low pressure light coming on might wait till a cold day and trade it in only got 48000 on clock with full service !!
