Can anyone think of a way of clearing a blockage in the washer pipe that runs through this motor.

I've tried attaching my bike pump and that won't shift it, i'm scratching my head tbh

airline and blow it backwards is what i do if some welding wire wont shift it, blow it the way it came from the small trap into the larger pipe and out wink if you don't have the use of a compressor pop to the fuel station and use thiers (and pay 50p for it frown ) failing that i boil the kettle and fill the washer tank form empty then give that a go, hot water often shifts stubborn lumps of cr@p that build up in the lines.

I assume that's a pump. Do you know what sort of pump it is? If it's a positive displacement pump you won't get any flow through it unless the pump is turning.

Stick some thin wire down the end of it. see what comes out on the end.
Have you confirmed its the rear washer and not the hose coming off the washer bottle? I know in my car the washers weren't working at it was because a rubber valve that selected where the washer fluid was sent had swollen and became stuck.

Try run the rear washer with the motor detached and see if anything comes out the end.

Thanks chaps

I've stripped the mech further and narrowed the blockage to this one little component.

Dropped it in boiling water... still nothing will pass through!

Give it a poke with some wire, old coat hanger or something.

Soak it in some vinegar or a calgon mixture. Failing that a neat solution of a water based degreaser.

What is that component - just an elbow, or some sort of one way valve? If it's a valve, it'll probably only flow one way and poking is liable to ruin it.

That was my worry.

Turns out it is, just needs a suprising amount of pressure to get in moving - certainly can't blow it through manually.

All the grit and crud is now removed and it's working as should.

Reckon the secondary muck in the metal tube was also stopping flow. All back together and blasting out fluid like a good 'un.

Cheers all, saved a few quid at the garage there!
