Cleaning bumper protector

[Ranger 6]

Previous owner put an AC Schnitzer bumper protector (very expensive grip tape) on the car.

It's now a bit grubby and with some fried egg residue and polish swirls. What's the accepted wisdom on cleaning this sort of abrasive material?
