OBD II Compatibility - American Car

Friend has a 2011 Toyota Corolla which is imported from the USA (stuff of dreams I know).

It's throwing up a load of warning lights, but the garage she uses are claiming they can't read the codes because it's American.

I've got a Bluetooth OBD-II reader and torque pro - what's the chances of me pulling some fault code information?

OBD II has been mandatory in the US since the late nineties so I think there's a good chance it'll work. Why don't you give it a try?
