Morning All,

I'm rebuilding my tool kit, replacing a lot of what I have as it's junk, and expanding.

I got some Beta 1/2" sockets for a job as they were the only ones the tool shop next to my work had in as individual sockets.

I'm pretty impressed with them, nice large numbers on them.

Anyone have any experience with them? I'm thinking about getting some more of their stuff.

Thanks, Thomas

The company I work for uses Beta across all our manufacturing facilities and remote sites. Never heard any complaints, they are the equal of snap-on et al.

Take a look at motorsport tools if you do get more, they seem to have a permanent Beta sale.

The closest trade tool place to me stocks their stuff and you get 40% off the list price which is good.

Betas main distribution warehouse is only a few miles from me so they can get anything next day.

Interesting - never really heard of the brand before, but I went to their site and noticed their torque wrench looks exactly like the halfords own brand one.

I've just spent £23 of a full set of 6 point 1/4" sockets. 4, 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, & 13.

Nice looking sockets. I'll see if I can post a picture later.

I came across BETA when I needed a set of torx sockets. The only thing the shop had that was a reasonable price was a Beta set in a bright orange box.
After about 12 months I managed to break a 45 torx, I phoned their place at Telford and got one in the post 2 days later FOC.
Good tools. Can't pass a verdict on any of their range as I've only used the torx.

Beta Tools are used by quite a few Moto GP teams and used to sponsor the March F1 car in the 70's. I have a few and think their pretty good

Beta is Italian which I guess fuels the Moto GP link. They do motorsport specific storage cabs which look cool but are hellish expensive!

I'm after their 8 drawer roll cab in the new year. Seen it for £400 ISH online discounted.

Like the fact it has a bottle holder on the side and you can add a blue roll holder.

Their bigger cabs look lovely but they are very expensive.

Motorsport tools and AI workwear have healthy discounts on the cabinets. The c28s super tank is a dream garage purchase for me. At this price i would have one but sadly shipping it is prohibitively expensive frown

I'd love one of them just too rich for my budget. I've got no garage so it's staying in the house ha ha.

Going to make a wooden top and mount a vice to it so I've got a mobile workbench.

Prime Tools have some Beta cabinets for a good price. I've been looking at this https://primetools.co.uk/product/beta-c24sa-xl7-7-... but not sure it's worth it over a similar sized cabinet from Machine Mart which is way cheaper.

You must live near Telford.

Yh I'm not far from Telford.

Good price it's on a par with this model from machine mart. Same overall dimensions.

I have quite a few of their tools, used to have a supertank but only now have a Beta top box. Which very dented as a forklift managed to knock it into the pit years ago but its still fine.

The only issue I have had with them is the ratchets especially the round head ones are a bit iffy.

The air guns are excellent.
