Hi,

I've got a completely non-functioning tailgate lock on my Astra H 2007 hatchback

The central locking works fine on all the other doors.

The lock is permanently open, so that if I were to drive it, the tailgate would flap open.

No electronic sounds or movement of any kind from the lock no matter what I do. Doesn't matter if I'm using the boot release handle or the key fob (there is no physical option to lock the boot)

Things I've tried:

A new lock unit including servo motor - No change

Checked relevant Fuse (number 8)

There's 12 Volts at the left pin in the fuse box.

I've checked for breaks where the wires go between the interior and the tailgate, though It's tough to see and they are all back, so I've no idea which one is which.

There's 3 wires going to the lock unit: Thick brown, thin brown/white and thin blue/black.

Does anyone know:

What voltages / signals should I expect on these three wires in a working system (Haynes is giving no details)?

How to diagnose the problem?
