Hey guys, new to this site but it's helped me with alot of problems and saved me god knows how much money doing stuff myself.

Basically my car has started having some problems due to being a workhorse.
It has a couple problems but one Im not sure of. Here are the symptoms I've noticed
While stationary turning or slow speeds it make a knock noise in relation to the steering wheel position. A similar sound to if my tyre was flat and turning.
When jacked up it has about an inch play left to right. And sometimes when turning off a 60 to I have to slow right down as my steering wheel is physically too hard to turn at fast speeds. Also going faster than 60mph my steering wobbles.

I'm tight for cash and time so I'm not wanna make a wrong guess and buy the wrong thing. I've looked at the suspension area and don't see any boot damage and my steering rods look OK for 200,000miles. I've been told by people it's a wheel bearing but there is no noise that indicates this. My best guess would be driveshaft upon watching videos but I though you guys should know best.

I just need to get it fixed and survive for another 6 months till I save for a nice audi for myself. Thanks guys

Sounds like wheel bearing, they don't always make a rumbling noise.

Jack the wheel up & try to force the wheel off its axis, it shouldn't move.
