I have been offered a 307 1.6hdi with a knackered turbo, I understand that I would be looking taking the sump off, modifying it and cleaning and replacing the strainer and oil pick up, then fitting a refurbed(ebay?) turbo, new oil and filter etc
this would be a driveway fix

Banjo bolt on pick up has a screen in it.

Check that, prob just get a new one.

Good idea to check for general sludge tho in these.

The PSA 1.6 HDI engines are renowned for being very susceptible to turbo failure. When supplying a replacement turbo there is a huge list of required tasks to be completed otherwise the warranty is not valid for the turbo.
