Take a look at the us pro stuff on ebay too, looks good value.
I’d love to know what this stuff is actually like. I need another stack and will probably buy another from Halfords but these do look pretty good jsf said:

Never understood why people get such a hard on for snap on stuff. I've used quite alot of it and own a few older snap on tools but dont get the hype? I know they have a good warranty and they do feel nice to use but lots of brands are doing both of those very well now for half the price. I think alot of it is brand snobbery tbh. Open your eyes and save some money.
I have had a halfords advanced full stack for a couple of years now and a friend bought it new quite a few years ago and it's still working perfectly.
Snap on dealers visit your workplace every week and offer credit terms, it's convenient to buy for lots of engineers/mechanics.I have had a halfords advanced full stack for a couple of years now and a friend bought it new quite a few years ago and it's still working perfectly.

They also offer a very large range of tools with some oddball designs that can make doing a job a lot easier.

Sums up the Snap On sellout nicely. Now built to a price, not a standard.

You can't over state the importance of the snap-on visiting and credit.
You've been slogging it out with a Subaru lateral bolt for the last hour, you're bored, angry and dreaming of tea-break, then the Snap-On rep arrives. You and your chums gather round to see what sparkly special offers they have; you can't afford anything really, and you're still paying off the £15000, 5 million Nm impact wrench you bought from him 10 years ago, but that extra, extra long o-ring pick set with the magnetic map-holder is JUST what you've been looking for, and it's only an extra £500 a month on your Snap-on repayment plan...
Your chums are egging you on; they want to borrow the picks, and it'll make them feel better about their own Snap-on mortguages.
We have Wurth rather than Snap-on, and they don't seem to offer (to us at least) a credit system, so we generally laugh them out of court.
Wurth: "Morning chaps! We have a special offer for you today! Let me ask you; what would you usually pay for a combination spanner set?"
Us: "I dunno. Maybe £30, max?"
Wurth: "Well, for a very limited time, we are selling these combination spanner sets for only £75...wait...oh..."
That said, the Wurth Zebra (or whatever) lifetime guarantee stuff tends to be excellent.

yep we get the wurth rep aswell. Some good tools and supplies for ok prices sometimes. Uncanny knack for turning up when I'm in the middle of a pain in the arse job and can really do without being interrupted.
Oh my God, our Wurth rep not only consistently arrives at the worst possible time, but HE WILL NOT LEAVE. I assume that they are tracked or something, and have to spend at least 15 or 20 minutes with customers. It's painful. For the money I think the roll cabs and tool boxes from sgs engineering are great value, know of several people with them and all very happy with them (hankering after the 72" stainless one they do). I have a 26" snap on roll cab i bought a few years ago second hand for not alot, its nice enough and admitedly its only in my home garage but I dont get the massive love for the snap on gear and I have a few bits aquired over the years, Milwaukee knocks socks off there electrical stuff. Lots of other brands offer just as good stuff for far far cheaper. Facom, Bahco,Wera,Teng, Britool, even Halfords professional is decent for the price.
Our local hardware store, Home Depot, carries the Husky range of tools. Not the cheapest but the quality is far better than just about anything else.

I’ve got a couple of Snap-On KRL roll cabs that I got secondhand. The second hand prices are about right - new is insane. They’re still worth what I paid for them. I got one of the side cabs with the vertical slider for buttons, but had to drive 300 miles in a Land Rover to get it.
They’re very nice things, and they’ll outlast me - my earlier “Stack-On” (Machine Mart?) has pretty much died.
Snap on used to be sold at tolerable prices on EBay while back - the spanners and sockets are excellent. The rest is questionable. Koken are fantastic and much cheaper. Look up ‘nut-grip’ sockets - brilliant.
