That is a bit odd. Even Halfords will sell you one for a third of that!

£257 with discount, though. Still dear but big chunk off, the joy of ECP pricing/discount structure.

AGM batteries are expensive - much more so than previous generation batteries were.

Some of the Halfords range are called 'Silver'. Perhaps ecp is selling ones actually made out of silver smile
Wouldn't touch an ecp 'Lion' brand with a bargepole.

I've used Tayna for the last five or so batteries I've bought, always well priced and delivered quickly.

I had to buy one the first week of lockdown as mine went flat, ECP were pretty much the only place i could get one from on the quick, think it was around £90 but that was with a 50% sale on batteries. (thats only for a mondeo tdi)

If its normally an expensive battery, carparts4less costs £170.43 for the same one.

The whole permanent coupon thing annoys me though, but some folk do seem to think its a special sale. I've had a friend tell me they were doing a sale on brakes before, and another that was happy to have used a bank holiday sale code.

That said, I've bought a set of vented front disks for my car for £30, and front pads for £7 before in the past, so can't really complain.

EuroCarParts pay their web monkeys with crack cocaine.

"There you go lads, another brick of the finest. Now go ahead and see how much you can fk up the pricing on the website today!"

ECP used to be my go to. Now I'd rather not unless so desperate. I love their pricing. Today £149 with 60% off. Next week, same item, £149 with 33% off. fk off. biggrin

It's always worth comparing the two sites as even although they are both the same company, the prices can vary considerably on the same item at different times.

You have to be very careful with ECP and Carparts4less and their "sales" as often the RRP is manipulated to minimise the actual saving.

Nissan are usually pretty cheap for OEM batteries, most are EFB batteries rather than AGM.

They are taking the piss I noticed an ECP price rise during this Covid period as I often use it for price comparison against my local parts outlets, I deal with Tanya good outfit, here you go https://www.tayna.co.uk/car-batteries/varta/e39/

Are Bosch still the best batteries?

Someone recently said Varta were just as good?

The days of paying under twenty quid for an 063 are well over.

My lowly Fabia needs a new battery, £72 for a Bosch.

Just got a discount code for ECP - £140 off...

Would a lower cold crank output be an issue?
