fireing order is 142536 all done by the book it was running good till dizzy moved i can't think of whats stoping it static timing set up it should fire up even if it ran like a truck it should fire up i've chtted to the guys in the club it's something being over looked i'll get back in to it in the morning with a fresh head

Have you given it a blast of easy start whilst cranking? If it starts you can ignore everything on the ignition side and concentrate on fuel.

In that case you would assume that is the problem.

Is the air filter blocked?

I think that you need to go back to the timing. How are you checking that the points on number 1 cylinder are just opening at the correct time?
