Hi all, technical question here.

I am making a new headlight cluster for my car out of fibreglass. The car currently has separate projectors for lowbeam (H1) and highbeam (H7).

I am planning on replacing the setup with single Hella bi-halogen units with shutters. How can I wire these to the car? Can I just wire in an adapter from the cars H1 output connector to the new lights bulb input, and then wire in an adapter from the cars H7 connector to the new lights shutter input? Or is it not that simple...?

Thanks all.

The Vauxhall Ampera uses a shutter system, unsure if this is common to other cars. It means the low-bram performance is very poor with standard halogen bulbs.

Yeah that won't have anything to do with the fact it is a shuttered design. Probably just a bad projector design / bulb.

My car is wired like that and it works perfectly, I've kept the standard full beam bulbs.
