2.8 cologne engine coolant capacity

Hi guys. I have a Ford Pop with a 2.8L Ford Cologne engine, I want to replace the coolant ( water) with Waterless fluid. Does anyone know the water capacity of this engine. Thanks

Surely that depends on your radiator/hose length etc?

Try it with beer first. Fill it up. Then drain it and drink it. If you're a bit 'tipsy' it could well work with vodka instead.

Don't try whisky though. The car will want to fight you or snog you if it's too much.

If it's got coolant in it, drain it and measure how much comes out. If it's empty, fill it with water and measure how much it takes.

Doh! wish I'd thought of that


My best guesstimate would be around 10 litres? If already full or you fill to drain and measure the tricky bit will be getting at the drain plugs to drain the block completely


I don't wish to start the age old "Evans debate" but any particular reason your wasting sorry spending your money on it?
