I get the above on my L322 TDV8 Range Rover but there is no smoke or loss of power, and no codes. Most people point towards it being the turbo on the side the noise comes from, or the top intercooler hoses which have already been done. Someone else said exhaust gasket leaking can cause issues.

Does anyone else have anything else I can check? Wondered about the lower hoses.

If it is a turbo then fair enough but I don't want to have someone take the engine out if there's something else to check first. One garage said they thought it was a turbo but hadn't really looked, and a former LR mechanic simply said he had no idea and to drive it until it got worse!

Help please!!

If you're able to reproduce the noise by revving hard in neutral with the bonnet up, the source may be obvious. But it may run out of revs before it builds enough boost to reproduce the problem. frown
