Sorry if the wrong section...

Changing glow plugs on my wife’s Cooper SD at the weekend. I’ve heard lots of horror stories regarding snapping glow plugs, so I plan to start soaking them in advance before removing.
My question is, what’s best to use to help?
Plus Gas? AC90?
Suggestions or experience with replacing them would be welcome!

Plus gas and a warm engine is what I've used in the past. I've never really struggled on any car I've done it on - the only problems I've ever had are with restricted access to actually get to them. Take it gently and if any of them feel really stuck, stop!

Plusgas would be my choice, and do it with the engine hot.
Beru (I think) quote a snapping torque for their plugs - the theory is if you loosen with a torque wrench set below that amount, you won't be able to put enough torque in to snap them if they are stuck.

That's a really thoughtful thing for a supplier to do.

Probably well below 'veins standing out on forehead'.
