The big brands have their own specific strengths and weaknesses but on the whole they are all as good as each other.
I bought the one with the highest breakout torque I could find for a reasonable amount of money. Ended up getting, after a lot of research, a Dewalt DCF899P2.
Picked it up for £250 with 2x5ah batteries, charger and carry case. The same place is now selling that bundle at £370, so think I got lucky.

You need to take into account the type of work you’ll be doing.
It’s no point getting an 1400nm monster for undoing suspension bolts if you can’t get it in the wheelarch, whereas a smaller one will fit but might not have the grunt.
What you need is two or three impact wrenches and a couple of impact drivers...

I’ve also got that one, no complaints, I don’t think it’s failed any task, including several crusty MX5 crank bolts. Picked it up for £250 with 2x5ah batteries, charger and carry case. The same place is now selling that bundle at £370, so think I got lucky.

Only problem is that it’s committed me to the Dewalt universe.
Battery or air? Everyone is assumed battery and I am not surprised given the battery models are on par in terms of grunt to air now.
I have 3 makita models... One is mid sized and does 95% of stuff. Goes up to 400nm of Torque. I then have a smaller 3/8 model for loads of smaller stuff. Still enough grunt to take wheel bolts off if not put on by an idiot. Then the 'big boy' which is used more rarely but is insanely powerful - but massive!
I got the big makita after struggling with a crank bolt on a cambelt change - and seeing an hgv fitter to take artic wheel studs off with it. It's never even struggled with anything I've challenged it with. But I'd not have the big boy alone personally.
I'm told milwaukee and dewalt are good as well.
Pick a battery brand and then don't stress. They will all easily do anything you want.
