Hi, I inherited a SIP compressor and various air tools, I have two air tools that don't come with the male fitting adaptor and need to buy a couple. I have to keep unscrewing the adaptor in picture and swapping over to the other tools.

Its a mine field which to choose.

This is what I have on all the other tools. they are 1/4" which I am sure of.

I think it looks the same as this from screwfix PCL, but its tapered.

Anyone an expert here to know if the SF item looks similar to the pic adapator. The tapered part I am not sure, as i thought the fitting in the tool will also need to be tapered to accept it.

Thanks

Trying to understand what you are asking? But the one you have looks to be BSP (British standard pipe) and the screwfix one is BSPT (British standard pipe tapered) the tapered one will fit fine, the taper is there to help it seal as the thread basically jams in as it tightens. They are standard PCL connectors.

Look for Euro air line fitting.

I think it’s a Euro coupler as opposed to the other common PCL coupler. Euro couplers are the better of the 2 anyway as they have a bigger bore.

If you have a Machine Mart near you, they have these loose on the shelf, although probably worth a call before you set off. Just take you old one and get them to match it.
