Hey all,

My darling children managed to smash up the existing USB ports in the back of our Nissan Qashqai. I ordered what I thought would be a direct swap but sadly it isn't so as the connector is different. Does anyone know what connector this is so I can try and source a fitment that works? It is a 4pin connector

The existing connector has 2 wires going into it so was hoping to just cut off the current head and fit a new one that fits.......

Many thanks for any help

Is it a "Nissan" part? If so the connector will be one of their own.
Can you open it up and just add some fly leads to it?

Is this USB socket just a charge point? I suppose those must be +5V and ground so no data or OTG pins. In that case, just soldering the two wires to the back of pins 1 & 5 on the USB socket would get you going.

It looks to me like a Molex Mini50 connection.

Given the shipping and handling costs for even such a small item from specialist suppliers, as suggested above I too would look to see if you can access the inside and just hardwire (solder) the supply cable straight in.

Edit: Yeah almost certainly a Mini50 as it seems Molex make the charger/socket too.
