AutoDoc woes: Incorrect parts / return issues

Recently rebuilt a 2001 polo GTI and got most of the parts from AutoDoc--- Always specified Febi Bilstien and that is what always arrived.. Mega faff on every single part going through forums etc to find what the correct part number should be for the GTI and then tripple checking the auto-doc part was the same.
I would say 80% of what I ordered was correct. Some parts were LHD even though the part-number was RHD on the website. Other parts were either garbage (ridex) or simply didnt fit.....
Given that they were monumentally cheaper than any UK source I could find I am happy to scrap 20% of the parts!
An odd business though - Wish you could type in a VIN and see a list of all the correct parts to pick from.
