When is Carlube 100+ not Carlube 100+?

Looks like Tetrosyl had a load of Wickes printed cans and needed to fulfil an order for their Caroline version. Sticker up the Wickes cans and ship it was the call?
As a Tetrosyl customer in the trade, I would say this is the correct answer. Sloppy though, from both their Carlube and Wickes point of view.ridds said:

So they search through the rubbish and fill old cans with Carlube 100+?
Good point, I guess it could just be a fill of a previously printed can...To be fair, I used to buy Supagrill charcoal and we’d stuff that in anyone’s bags (including own brand) and some of the price spreads were horrendous, Waitrose being the worst.

I won't be buying their products in future.
Why is that, exactly? Was it the product I originally intended to purchase, or something that costs 1/3 of what it claims to be?

Because it's disingenuous. What did I actually buy?

You bought the product but it was in a can that was intended for something else, the something else never made it into the can. Rather than chuck the unused/overordered/cancelled order cans out the company sleeved them so they could still make use of the can and ship the product you wanted with the correct label. Was it the product I originally intended to purchase, or something that costs 1/3 of what it claims to be?
If you had spent £40 on a can of Harrods extra virgin super rich blend penetrating oil and unsleeved it to find a can of WD40 inside that would have cost you £7 then Id have said you may have a point but this is not what happened.

I remember working at Halfords and supposedly the own brand premium 4 year warranty batteries were made to the same standard on the same line as the 5 year Bosch ones (by Johnson controls)

I'm fully aware of companies reselling others products as their own and make a point of avoiding them. Carlube is simply added to that list, that's all.

Or.... people could save some money by just buying the cheaper Wickes stuff, if they want to.
Why did you even bother to reply?
