I hate being called "Driver" or, even worse, "Drive".

(generally hiding behind their Scania curtains)
I passed an artic on the M1 yesterday that had the curtains fully closed over his driver's side window, presumably to keep the sun out.

There was no way whatsoever he could see his offside mirrors.

wker.
Bit like this.

If your "job" in the armed forces was actually as a driver, and "drive" or "driver" was the worst you were called, you got off lightly lol.

I know the pongo's used to refer to their transport section as Ricksaws, Cabs, and Taxis,(RCT or Royal Corps of Transport, for the non military chaps) we used to refer to ours as Empty (ours was reffered to as the MT section, Motor Transport), and we used to refer to drivers as "empties".

One for central London, The way that the one way streets are ALWAYS no entry from where you are and so therefore you have to go 3 miles around the city to get to the other end of the street you need to deliver to despite the fact that you could see the address from the cab when you were not allowed to turn left into the street, Also combined with the no stopping signs so you cannot hop out and deliver to the address once you get there.

How anyone runs a shop in London is beyond me.
I'll go with that - anything in the city is a huge PITA generally. Cant park or stop anywhere in the same postcode as the drop usually.
