Yes, she's very nice isn't she!From someone who works in Construction too, i say fair play to her. Females have a tough enough time in our industry, can only imagine the trucking game is so much more as far as the whole male-domination thing goes.

Controversial. And rude.king dumb it made me cringeI watch the series and whilst interesting I do think the over dramatisation is a bit much.
The other week, the driver who pulls the walking floor trailer was delivering to a farm with a very tight entrance - the voice over guy says: "One wrong move and the trailer will be totalled." we cut to the driver who says in a laid-back way: "Christ! That's a bit tight" and carries on.
Worst case would probably the wall at the entrance being damaged with superficial damage to the trailer.
I`m sorry everyone but this bloody programme really takes the pi$$, I constantly get asked by our customers if I would rather work for Slowbarts the answer is always NO. It maybe down to the shows creator making things look ten times as hard as it really is, but come on some of the drivers dont help themselves do they especialy the bald one and his mate PLANKS. Rant over enjoy the show.
i think most drivers would agree, that its a load of tosh.
but it seems to have a huge following from those outside of the industry, and the production company that decided to make the show must be rubbing their hands together.
for those that enjoy it, please don't think its a true representation of what our industry is like, its not. the whole o.t.t thing, with, "ooo tight spaces" and, "ooo high winds and driving rain." REALLY!!!
as for the regular drivers that get shown on the program, good luck to them i'm sure they are enjoying their 15 minutes of fame so to speak, but guess they were specially picked by the firm and production company, for their ability to, "tow the line" and ham it up for the camera maybe.
i'm glad it gets trucks and the haulage industry onto mainstream t.v, but it could have been done with much more realism, and given a better representation off the job, but that wouldn't have got the same viewing figures, so wouldn't of been of interest to the production company.

I know, the same tv company did that 'Danger - diggers at work' where Jim and Jack augered a hole, filled it with concrete and dropped a metal tubular cage in the hole - specialised operation apparently.
