I have got no idea what has happened over the past fortnight but my luck with my current truck has disappeared,

Started off a week past Friday, my units sliding fifth wheel doesn't slide, never been an issue, its quite close to the landing legs but never close enough that its caused an issue, until that Friday when the landing leg handle went through the tail light, replaced the light on the Monday, adjusted where the handle sits on the trailer and bang through it went again.
I replaced the lens and tied the handle in a different place, no issues at all. Nice

Friday past, coming out of an awkward yard, I cracked the wing top on the tag axle. Gutted

Today I'm pulling an extender its been no problem all day, went to unload under a crane and guess what, the NSR light has been broken again, no idea how its happened, as its been fine all day.

Currently mega annoyed and just needed to get it off my chest, all silly little things but I take great pride in my old Scania and hate when any form of damage happens

Things like that normally happen after i wash mine. Was absolute filth on thursday and i had an hour to spare so aimed a hose at it, first thing friday morning i lost most of the passenger mirror in the blackwall tunnel.

Turned up this morning to find out one of the other tankers had been sitting down renaults all weekend with an adblue fault, got half way through today and my ones going mental, dashboard disco and used a couple of hundred litres of diesel just going to ipswich and back. That wasnt adblue that was in the ibc in the yard then hehe

Shouldve just left it dirty.

I never managed to wash it last week, so I think this is my payback, that's something I need up rectify.

Along with unseizing the sliding fifth wheel and moving it back two notches. I'm going to be busy tomorrow

Mine usually gets washed twice a week, it may be an older truck but something I cannot stand is a dirty truck, be it inside and out.
