Crikey, that's all very sophisticated. I load a LWB Sprinter, sometimes a Curtain-sided Sprinter Luton with big palletised loads in reverse order, and go. Would love some more snaps of the vans. See some Sprinter-based UPS vans too, what's the deal with those over Varios?

I'll see if i have time for pics tomorrow, the Sprinters are 3.5 ton so don't need a tacho, layout wise they're pretty much the same just smaller. Rumour has it the replacements for the sprinters will be fitted with digital tachos but will still be sub 3.5 ton with the tachos being for controlling driving hours more strictly than the current system of time cards etc.

Aah. The wristband locking is very Minority Report. What sort of mirages do these cover? My Sprinter is a 59-plate, 52,800mi, our Sprinter Luton is a 57-plate on 164,000mi and there's a 59-plate Sprinter Luton at our other Depot on 103k and an 09 Transit on 53k. No idea about any of our trucks.

How often do you fill the 3.5 ton size vans?

We use transits/combi vans ,we don't use pallets but it's not often the vans are filled right up.

The 7.5 ton lorrys are normally full of cages however.

They're usually full every day but nowhere near gross weight. The shelves will be full and it only takes one bulk drop to fill the center of the van
