Re the 1st episode ...I knew the Welsh fella ,Ashley Maddox ?...would never complete

7 drops in that London starting from South Wales,it's hard enough doing that many

starting in South.......Croydon...laughI would've bet my lunch on it.

It also looked like he didn't get held up at most of the BnQs .

One queue of trucks can lose you an hour or more per drop sometimes.

Is Fiona going to appear this series is all i want to know...cloud9
Also who does his route planning?

He's at Beckton and is heading towards Dartford and he needs to be quick.

So instead of using the ferry which he is right ontop of or a run down the a13 to the qe2 bridge which would put him right ontop of Dartford he decides to use the a13 and Blackwall tunnel at rush hour! Guy is on crack.

Then the best thing he gets a call to cancel and go to aveley whilst on the canning town flyover yet he still goes through the Blackwall tunnel what the shuddering fk! No wonder he had no hope of making it.

I don't think so, she has (or is) leaving Stobarts
She's not on the opening credits anymore

I can't imagine the likes of... & Salversson have trouble getting new recruits.
Perhaps, if they were to have still existed in the last five/six years... hehe
Sorry, bit out of touch. Now Dentrassangle.

Wasn't she made redundant when they closed the Newark depot?
Everyone else there was.

I saw a Salversson trailor being pulled in France last week.

I think most/all their stuff was sold off. A few firms around here bought a lot of their old trucks, colours being a tell-tale sign, most have the name scrubbed out on the curtains but I've seen the odd still displaying it.

Still do see the odd Christian Salvessen trailer pulled by Norbys wagons. Haven't seen one for a little while admittedly now though so iguess they may well have been phased out!... (the only other trailers aside from their own I see ND pulling around here are TDG, Vauxhall car parts and the very subtle Greggs draw-bar units)

Enjoyed the Stobart show on Friday night. That R500 based log wagon of theirs is some bit of kit for sure! cool

Didn't realise it was a V8, looks nothing like our R500. Unless they changed them somewhat between the 11 and 61-plates..?

Yeah, that one is only one of about a handful of V8s they have on the fleet at any one time.
The livery/wrap disguises it a bit as it would have the current (They distinguished the V8 range with a black grille and chrome infills back in late '10/early '11 IIRC when the R series range was given a mid life facelift) gloss black grille that would mark it out as a V8 otherwise (Unless it was a special order). smile

Ours has a black grille, LED DRLs in the bumper, Xenon headlamps with clear lenses, V8-badged side skirts and three or the LED marker units (as seen on the corners) between the driving lights in the sun visor. It's a Topliner too, mind.

Two weeks in, and I've not watched nor been bothered to watch the Stobart Circus show. No doubt it's the same st as every other series.

Over dramatised by the voice over guy.
Lorries have been on our roads for years, but I got the impression by the way the voice over guy, that this was a first.

I've yet to see one episode of this series. I've no interest to be honest.

Odd, considering I've been in the industry for the past 10 years; and its an industry I love being in.

There really is nothing sadder than an Eddie spotter.

Tonight they're getting emotional because the Crick depot is closing.

do they deliberately choose the biggest cocks to "star" in the show... that scouser trapped in a carpark?? why not get a couple of the lads to bounce the fecking bmw out of the way or put a tow strop on the thing and shift it that way
