Realise the title sounds a bit odd but it's straight to the point. Just curious if you can shed any light on what the numerous old 'spotters' I regularly see on bridges over the M6 round Preston are actually spotting. Some of them are there all day it seems with their binoculars and huge telephoto lenses. There's a guy on a bridge just south of the M55/M6 junction with a Touareg who must be there nearly every day. Are they Stobart fans, coach spotters, truck spotters????

Or the guy in Ferrybridge services with a couple of reference books ticking things off ?
The verges on motorways are a haven for wildlife and if bridges are close by they offer a great spot for nature lovers to take photos.

Yep lorry spotters!

Takes all sorts I suppose, there's a few websites where they upload their pics, I must be on a couple as I've been snapped before despite neither me or the lorry being particularly photogenic!
