I’m almost a year into a 170ps high roof lwb and I’ve done 10k in it. Got a service warning at 3k miles - they changed the oil under warranty and reset the light. Got a service light at 9k miles - more oil under warranty! The bulkhead is made of plasticine - any load that even touches it creases the headlining.
Other than that it’s a great van overall and I’m pleased with it, especially for the price. I drive it as my every day car an appreciate the heated screen, parking sensors and stuff.

My firm's van has done around 27k in the year we've had it, with no issues apart from having to reset the oil change warning light three times.
No issues until yesterday, that is: at one point during my run I couldn't select any gears, it was as if the clutch wasn't fully disengaging. The only way to get going was to turn off the engine, select first (or reverse), restart while in gear, pedal pressed, and make sure the engine revs were spot on to get smooth gear changes. This continued for an hour or so, then cured itself & everything was fine again for a while; then the problem would come back.
At times in traffic it was almost undriveable.
Although most of my work is stop/start in and around town, I'm careful to avoid stressing the clutch; it isn't slipping, and the bite-point is about the same as when the van was new.
Anyone know of intermittent clutch issues with these vans?

I don't have that problem as such but I hate the gearbox/clutch with a passion, I feel as though I have to time every gear change to perfection. I can't put my finger on the exact problem but I don't enjoy driving it. I will either get an auto next time or it will be my first and last custom.

We have had a few problems with clutch pressure plates budNo issues until yesterday, that is: at one point during my run I couldn't select any gears, it was as if the clutch wasn't fully disengaging. Slightly O/T but my office is near a firm who rack out new vans for fleet use and there have been a lot of orange Transits heading their way over the last week. I'm wondering if the RAC have switched from VW to Ford?
Given our poor recent experiences with VW (Caddy, Transporter T6 and Amarok) I'd not be surprised.

I had oil warning light on my 2018 Connect Limited at 5000miles. Called dealer who just told me reset sequence which was turn key halfway and press clutch and brake for 20seconds or something. No issues since but hardly confidence inspiring. Also new 2018 van is averaging 20% less to the gallon with stop start covering same routes. 41mpg again 48 previously.

Anyone knows if they get an oil change early on? I've got a message coming up saying it needs one it's 3 months old and done 3k.
Just had my 2018 transit sport in for brake recall? well, all i can say is if you had no problems don't do it! they had van all day and when i picked it i got 3 miles from the dealer and she locked solid ( brakes cooked ) so they have it for another day. REF oil change WARNING!! mine had done 8000 in a year and light came on so it cost me £103 then the AA man told me the engines have a fault where it tries to meet emissions but gets confused so dumps to much fuel in engine which then get like water hence light comes on BUT don't IGNORE it as the AA has had blown turbos and engines solid!!!Gassing Station | Commercial Break | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
