One small point....you don't lose your entitlement to drive C or CE. That's yours for life unless medical, courts, or Traffic Commissioner say otherwise.

Pass the medical, send licence and forms away, get licence back with your shiny refurbished C and CE.
Then 35 hours CPC refresher and Tacho.
Good to go.

It also literally says he doesn't know if he'd need to retake his practical test or just a medical.

Thanks folks.

No use to me right now, as I'm crocked with a broken leg (no strength to drive a truck yet, I'm not allowed to drive a car even, at the moment). But I'll look into going for the medical again when I'm recovered. I'll talk to my GP first, and see how to move forward from there.
