Just looking at 7.5t tippers and i come across the iveco 72c.

Maybe a bit expensive for what im looking for but perhaps perfect. Basically a van sized lorry which takes around 3.6t payload.

However looking at tyres and i see they are still on normal van tyres which believe only go up to a 110 load rating which is 1060kgs per tyre.

Surely with 6 tyres thats a tyre load rating of under the given 7.2t gross weight.

or am i misunderstanding tyre load ratings?

If they are 225/75/16 which a quick google suggests they might be then the load rating is 120/121 which is 1400/1450 kgs which takes it to 8400kgs over 6 tyres

i think your right, that must be the size, looking around i could only see 195/75/16 which are all 110 max.

Just found some random page on the iveco site and it does show the 225 size.

Looks like a perfect truck but more than i want to spend frown they seem really rare so hard to get any proper info on them.

Yes I'm a fan, rare in the spec I want of lwb chassis cab manual & ac & are not peanuts in euro6.

I've had mine 5 yrs (a 65 not a 72)but might be going Canter/Fuso next but think it's far more cramped & bouncy & less grunt.

I'd not go auto on the ivecos, I only hear bad things about 'em.

Think my rear tyre are 121 rating, fronts 118

If you go canter/Fuso just beware that parts prices are horrendous on them. Don’t know how they compare with other stuff in the same class but compared to Merc stuff it’s eye wateringly expensive .

I have 2x 3.5t canters now and yes if they go wrong they are really expensive......

Really like the look of the iveco but there just aren't any for sale really, although same as the isuzu and fuso, literally nothing great about and what is about is too expensive.
