Thank you for this smile

The Hibaldstow link is interesting though - It's parked there a few times before and there is a yard further up:

117 Station Road

The plot thickens - It's dated 2013 though...

Probably lives in St Albans close then and uses the yard up the road as his registered business address, parks in the bus stop so he doesn't have to drive/walk up to the yard on station road to get his wagon in the morning

Polite notice on windscreen asking him to park at the yard which his Operators licence is registered to shoud do it.

Parting line will be if you fail to adhere I'll have no other option but to report to VOSA

With PH help, the operator has been traced and been in contact with my girlfriend - Someone will be having a word with the driver who is, apparently, a challenging individual.

The driver, it turns out, is known to be a "character" so we'll see how he responds...

I had something similar when I lived in St Neots a few years ago, a truck regularly parking in a residential area bus stop overnight. The haulage company was owned by the husband of someone I worked with and I mentioned it in passing to her one day. A whole can of worms got opened up as it turned out the driver was having an affair with some local girl and parking there yet claiming cab-allowances for all his overnight stops....Oops!

Some bone idle driver who can't be arsed walking/cycling/driving less than a mile to the yard, so dumps it near his house.

If you want it stopped then you can put in a complaint following these guidelines;

https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/a-guide...

They will either comply, or risk losing their operator's licence.

Id look at the Operator's licence in the windscreen and take it from there. If it is REALLY being a nuisance and the operator does not cease, then I would take it up with the TC. You are wasting your time with the DVSA.

I imagine if I had to maneuver my mobility scooter round the front of the lorry to get to the bus stop, I may leave some very deep scratches down the side of the cab. After a while that may make the driver think twice about being so inconsiderate.
yeh scratch someones expensive truck because one of his employees parks inconsiderably, that'll teach the lorry owner that investing 10's of thousands in a truck and then paying out for wages, insurance, fuel, maintainance etc etc etc, arnt his only costs.

Just out of pure nosiness- has this been sorted?

The ‘challenging’ individual - was he (she?) at all challenging?

This was all sorted. A word was had with the driver who was a typical bad parker but the haulage company sorted this and it hasn't been back since. The driver now walks to the unit and his HGV without causing problems. Boring, but resolved
