Italy East Coast Campsites

Thinking of trying Italy this year, any one got any first hand experience of camp sites from say Ravenna down as far as Ancona.
looking for something on a beach, doesn't have to cater for children.

I've been here a few times but not since 1995 ish

A short walk to the beach and local town.
Close to San Marino, Rimini etc.

The site has developed quite a lot since I was there last and I would probably try to rent a villa next time.

That's easy, if you have kids.

The beach at Gateo a Mare has a VERY shallow slope into the sea and had huge breakwaters about 50 metres out.
Your kids can walk out a long way and the water still only be up to their knees.

In Spain you go 3 steps out and it's waist deep.

ETA
If you go out of the back gate of the camp, walk along a track you come to the town, which appears to be dead during the day.
At night it is a hive of activity with shops, small bars/restaurants etc all out on the pavements.
