Any Caravan/camping club members?

Er, no, obviously it is not ethical and would also be foolish both for you and anyone that did give you the membership number.
The CC or C&CC warden will ask to see the card itself on arrival and then pull up the details of the member on the computer which will list all their details including vehicle registration numbers etc.

The clubs charge a lot extra for non-members, why don't you just go to one of the very many private campsites instead which can be the same price or cheaper than either of the two clubs?

Also you may find if you ring the site they may relax the 2 night rule if they are not fully booked.

Also some find the club sites a bit regimented,often with too many draconian rules and members who are willing to get you evicted because your kids football went off course or your bbq smoke got out of hand.

You find after camping a few times your priorities change. Ours are more clean toilets and showers, sheltered pitches etc and you will pay more for swimming pools and other fancy features

I joined CCC to get discounts for our Euro trip in June -turned out the discounts were hopeless so cancelled. I was a member for three days....

I didn't think the saving of being a member of the Camping and Caravan Club was so great. Stayed last week on a site for 4 nights. The saving of being a member was effectively my daughter going free, although thats comparing the price with my inlaws who are non-members but I think they got OAP discount.

We got told off for putting the caravan in a slightly different angle, although it was a corner plot and inconvenienced no-one, but helped me greatly in leveling the caravan!

I liked that.

I also like the toilets etc.

I myself prefer more rustic camping but for mrshora its absolutely bang on.

Which site did you stay at? The Camping and Caravan Club do of course brand themselves as the Friendly Club and generally the staff are nice and friendly.
