Mine never gets stuck anywhere even in the Highlands last xmas in the snow.
4 rear wheel drive with plenty of rear bias on the weight distribution.
Currently up for sale unfortunately due to health issues.
Not a shameless plug and over the op budget, but its on here in the classifieds wink

Good luck in your choice,i am sure you will enjoy.

Just looked at your ad, I wasn't even aware anyone produced a van like that, it's brilliant.

Just have to be particular where you pitch most of the time. Only problem with AWD is that as far as I am aware nobody makes a coachbuilt.
I would have thought you could get a coach built on a 4motion base? I saw a few nice Karmanns on our Euro trip but T5 coach builds seen pretty rare.

FWD plus little diesel plus very heavy coach built is a recipe for disaster. I've seen a few get very very stuck!
A number of German manufacturers make 4WD motorhomes, but they tend to be aimed at expedition and are very expensive. Have a look at Bimobil.

I have owned both RWD (Sprinter 316) and FWD (Fiat and Fiat/Al-Ko), never got any of them stuck, but I always carried snow chains so could get out of any situation if needed. Did have to put them on the Merc to get up a steep hill to a campsite in Austria one December.

On the road the Niesmann (Fiat Al-Ko) drove much better than the Sprinter.
