Indeed, the principle is right, but surely you'd have to drive your caravan to the summit of Everest for even a possibility of this happening.....................They don't do they ??
Might explain the queues. - http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-22680192There is generally 1 hectopascal of pressure drop for every 30 feet of altitude change. Normal sea level pressure is 1013 hectopascals.
So if you climbed a 5000' mountain from sea level (quite do-able in Europe) you would see a pressure change of roungly 1/6 of an atmosphere.
Bearing in mind that you tyres are only pressurised to 2 atmospheres, there is certainly a chance of "splatter".

If one starts with a "full tank", maybe?
LOLed at the comments about a spaceship upthread... And nobody has commented on how rubbish the tea is at 5000ft 'cos the kettle boils at a fair bit below 100C . With st allegedly spread across every last surface of the caravan or camper, though, I'd think the poor quality of the tea is last on anyone's list of things to complain about !
But one's chemical toilet won't be committing chemi-khazi in one's camper or caravan under such circumstances in the general scheme of things, unless one tops it up at sea level then closes it and drives up to 5000ft in short order - it's not like the dam flap at the base of the pan is hermetically sealed or anything .

Well if ever there was an advert for staying in a hotel it's this! Actually, no it's the fact that caravaners even know this stuff! Buy a caravan and not only do you get the joy of emptying your st you also have the fun of being able to poke it around with a knife, a knife you will later be using to spread butter on your toast no doubt. fking caravanning is clearly for the clinically insane, mental the lot of them!
I have had this happen in the UK - not explosive to the point of going up the walls but had to nip for a pee, filled the bowl and forgot to put the lid down before moving the leaver... resulting toilet "fart" sent a nice shower of p*ss flying all over me. You only make that mistake once!
