Haha, brilliant how this thread turned from a man being badly let down by a caravanning club to said club saving his marriage.

I've been trying to get rid of my GF for a while now. I might look in to this course...

Hmm, well you've made me look at it from a different point of view and I reckon you're all right. I've had a lucky escape. Told her about it over dinner to explain why she wasn't getting a pressie tomorrow and at first she was livid that I'd booked the course. Then saw the funny side of it. says she's glad they cancelled it 'cos no way would she have done it

She's spent the last hour on-line looking for weekends in Barcelona. Not sure if I'm going too though.

Oh and we've been married 40 years so not exactly in the first flushes of yoof. bounce
Half a day/full day at a spa for both of you. Do it. She will love you for another 40 years !! You had a lucky escape with it being cancelled. dont tell her that the course was it for her birthday play along that the spa was also planned - you might just get away with it.

Blimey how can you have thought this was a good idea !!??? Seriously !!

good luck. Thanks for sharing ColinM50. thats why I love PH. Tell us the next installment pls. Does the wife read PH?

Dad, is that you?

I ask because my parents have just booked a weekend in Barcelona and have been married 40 years!

Have to say this thread didn't go the way I planned at all. I thought you were all going to be righteous and critical of the C&CC and tell me how to claim thousands in compo. instead I find you all think I'm the plonker.eek

Could be you're right 'cos the family all agree with you too.confused

So I'm going to sell the caravan and buy a boat.wavey She hates boats. vomit That'll teach hervomit
