Me and Mrs MOB fancy hiring a nice camper van for a week to see if its for us.

No kids, 2 small dogs.

Love the idea, but we like our peace and quiet - usual UK holidays are detached cottages in the middle of nowhere.

The dogs bark at the slightest noise so a noisy campsite wouldn't work for us.

Do such places exist in the UK?

You sound like a fun couple! ;-) So you're after a campsite that nobody goes to? Doesn't sound like the greatest business proposition! I'd recommend maybe wild camping somewhere up in Scotland where you'll be free as a bird or perhaps a small certified site (CL) with maybe only 5 or so pitches, but I'm sure the other campers might not appreciate the dogs barking.

This site might have some ideas for you... https://www.pitchup.com/wild-camping/

Cheers, looks interesting.

We probably do sound dull, but that's just how we like to relax lol.

I've also been introduced to http://www.britstops.com/ which could work for us.

MOBB, it's fair enough if you want a bit peace and quiet.

This may or may not be the place for you but was very quiet when we went a few weeks ago. Big area with not many pitches. Quirky owner -it's definitely not immaculate caravan club lawns and club houses, -very basic. He'll try to accomodate what you need though and it's a beautiful spot, especially if you like the coast and a bit of walking. Pembrokeshire has an amazing coastline.

We went during Euro 16 and wanted to watch the Wales v Belgium game. With a couple of hours notice, the owner set up a big TV in an old caravan for us and made it comfy for me, wife and kids. Memorable night.

I took this quick pano when we walked up to the old hill-top fort site. It's a bit dark but if you zoom in you'll see how few pitches there are. There's our Navara and big tent in there somewhere.
