I guess most of us in this lesser used part of the PH forums are those who'll go off and do stuff.

It's as good a place as any to share your trips (if they're not worthy of their own thread) and photos, just to us all ideas on places to go stuff to do.

So..

Simply Red in Concert at Thetford with friends. Only a portaloo on site, one night of being drunk and disorderly. Found a campsite next to the river IP27 0TX http://www.forestlodgeholidays.co.uk

400 mile drive to St David's in Wales. Whitesands beach. Stayed at Lleithyr Farm, nice clean site, gets busy though. This is the sunset from the car park where we went most evenings just to have a coffee and watch the sunset.

A little hike along the coast path (carrying all sorts!) from Whitesands, is another beach. If it's poor surfing at Whitesands, this place will be even flatter, so ideal for swimming (no lifeguards though) and Paddleboarding. No facilities!....but the whole beach to ourselves!

The Blue Lagoon at Abereiddy! Incredible place, take your trunks (and wetsuit - water is cold as it's so deep) climb the old walls and jump in! My son and I did Coasteering at Newgale with http://www.thebigblueexperience.com/ but they do coasteering at the lagoon too, although our experience at Newgale was one of the best things i've ever done.

Onto Snowdonia! We did the Watkin Path and stayed here http://gwynant.com/ the Saturday was RAMMED, but the next day everyone left and we stayed smile
Weather defeated us in our attempt, woefully underprepared in my last minute decision to go to Snowdon, climbing in shorts and trainers with a 9 year old fairy in tow, but we got within 2-300ft of the top when we decided it was probably not the best idea. Walking from 9am till 6pm with about an hour break! Lovely route though, could see the sea which was 10 miles away....until the cloud came in lol!

Next day we went to Bounce Below...now, none of my photos would do this justice, so google it. Expensive for a family of 4, £100 for one hour, but a great experience. One VERY IMPORTANT TIP if you go......wear those walking trousers, you know, the kind of smooth water resistant type material? The new slides get damp (unsurprising in a cave) and my joggers just rode up my arse. There were a couple of dudes who went like missiles in their trousers...polar opposites!

We also did the Slate Mine Tour at Llechewedd (same site) sounds boring, but I loved it....500ft down in a train thing..and quite informative.
