This kind of thing is fine if it is just adults and reliably good weather.
It was just me.
3 man ten
inflatable mattress
sleeping bag & pillow
BBQ
Cold box for beer and food
folding chair
windbreak
small gas burner for kettle
Gas lamp
Ideal. I need to find an excuse to disappear on my own for 3 days armed with the above. (not including a Cotty. I'll pass on that). smile

Can't beat it a 1 man road trip!
I've got 2 weeks planned in May, down through France, along the Pyrenees ending up on a Spanish beach, but that will also include the Barcelona GP. Camping all the way.

3 man tent
sleeping matt/bag/pillow
LED light
Low chair
windbreak/tarp
All fits in the boot of the S2000.

I'll eat out, or get daily provisions as I need them...I don't mind little stoves, but the faff of prepping, cooking and then cleaning all the stuff that goes with it? nah...travel light.

I can't remember if it was one night or two. Try this if you want a weekend suggestion http://www.britcar24hr.co.uk/

It was a bit different as I would crash out for a while then get up near midnight to watch some night racing and walk round the pits. Back to bed then up to watch the racing as the sun rose.

Went to that a couple of years ago with a couple of mates. We had planned to go over in the middle of the night but it was hammering down with rain, so we got drunk in a cramped and sweaty tent.

Thanks

It looks quite big. I have just been looking at the 6 as its quite a good price at the minute but I was concerned by the length with it being 7.3 meters. The pitches at Silverstone are 7 meters.

But I liked the 6 because the sleeping quarters were at opposite ends of the tents.

Mine don't go off to sleep that well but tend to stay asleep when they do. The 6 would also give us the option of splitting them up.

And the 6 can be had for £407 through hot uk deals.

Might ask on the F1 forum if anyone has used on at Silverstone. Don't want to buy it only to find out it cant be used

Thanks everyone for your contributions.

I have a berghaus air 6 being delivered tomorrow. Got it from Millets for £407. Which seems reasonable.
