Electric Bike Battery
Discussion
I was not sure if anyone here would have any idea about this but here goes.I have a Giant Escape 1 electric bike. The battery is a Li-ION. I bought the bike second hand and really love it. The battery however seams to only last about 15 miles on ECO setting. I think it should be a bit better range than that. I don't think the battery is on the way out, as the previous owner I think charged it before it got to it's low reading. So I,m thinking it is memory locked
So a couple of questions:
1) Do these type of battery's get memory stuck if been constantly quick top up charged with out been fully discharged
2) Will completely discharging the battery to flat damage it.
3) will complete discharge then re charge bring the battery back to a more recognised 30 mile distance before recharge.

How old is the battery? Mine dropped from 30-20 miles over a 6 year period
Have you personally got more out of it as range is affected by terrain, rider weight and the amount of effort the rider puts in. Sorry if I'm stating the obvious.
My battery needed "conditioning" every couple of months ie charging overnight for 12 hours
