I usually pee a little further away from the tent. But nice views.

You joke but for years I'd be up loads of times (don't know if that's old age, the amount I drink, or mental) but never considered a 'pee bottle'.
Life/camping changing laugh

Apparently fabric conditioner bottles are great due to wider opening?

Not sure I’m brave enough to pee, half asleep, in my tent! hehe

When I’m on my period it’s the Bears you wanna worry about.

One tip I've learnt.
You know those black slugs that appear at certain times of the year?

They love alcohol. Leave your empty can outside the tent/bivvy. They all come to the party and leave you alone.

Luckily we don't get many (any) Bears running wild here.

We do here, but they are more scared if us than we of them.

I camped in the woods above a friend's village earlier this year, and a friend was speaking to hunters in their bar and they had caught a bear on one of their trailcams.

Yikes

Tell me more. I would love to buy US items and alot of sites mention clips for bear sprays.
Obviously in the UK the worse we see is an angry farmers/cows.
Not sure I'd get a decent sleep knowing a bear was prowling.

I'm in Bulgaria, so...

You can buy pepper spray here, but not sure it's any good for bears!

Picked up a mattress from Decathlon a week or so ago. The Forclaz trek 500 self Inflating jobby. Only 7°C outside, but really comfortable in my hammock. Bargain for €30. R rating is 2.7.

Looks divine. My other half has just made a bike trailer for such ventures.

It's probably getting a bit late in the year for this (for me anyway!) but can anyone recommend a bikepacking tent please, 1 man? I can see lots of great value stuff on decathlon but they don't often pack down as small as they could for carrying on a bike.

Anyone have any suggestions / pictures please?

We had a BBQ and friend over to the boat at the weekend. With the trusty fire pit. This piece of kit really is a good investment. Lots of dead fallen wood around at the moment too which thankfully is still dry.
