It works ok. You have to let the heater get hot before running the air - or it will never do so. Far more efficient on gas than electric.

Some manufacturers route the blown air pipe under the caravan. Worth lagging it if you are going to use in the winter as otherwise you end up with a cooler rear end...

The Alde system is better at keeping warm, but also has its downsides as it adds weight and the glycol liquid needs changing at certain intervals.

Absolutely agree with Surveyor.

I never really had a problem with blown air heating when I was camping. It's just that it is a bit binary (all or nothing). I find that once it switches off when the temperature is reached, the van can feel a bit chilly again on a very cold day. It's certainly effective at heating up quickly but doesn't given you the same comfort as you'd get at home (or with an Alde wet system).

Another welcome update thanks.

Mates who have gone through separations have mostly seen it as a relief and are far happier even if not in the short term.

Neighbour who I go to the pub with has separated from his long term partner.
She met someone at work which was a huge shock.
I told him that I was certain he would be the one that left her :-)

After the initial shock, shouting etc.. he came to realise they hadn't been right for ages and the kids just kept them together.

He's now enjoying single like to the max and is much happier.

Do you mind me asking why you aren't getting anything from the house sale?
No worries if you don't want to answer.

Turn the heat on with either the control panel if electric, or on the heater if it gas.

When the heater is nice and toasty turn the fan setting on the heater to on or automatic...

When I turn the heater on it blows air straight away. I'm struggling to think if there is an option for just heating up the heater...unless you mean just turning the water heater on?

This switch should be off until the heater is producing hot air.

This switch on the right should turn it on (using electric) The newer caravans might have an electronic touchscreen control which does the same thing.

However, if you've got a Trumatic rather than an Ultraheat, you're missing the second dial so it will heat up by itself and then turn the fan on when it's ready.

I don't have any of those dials with mine.

I have the option of what to heat up on the right hand dial (space heating or water or both), with an inner dial with the temperature control from 1-6. The left hand dial is for the fuel source.

When the right hand dial is switched on to space heating and the fuel source is selected, then it simply comes on and starts blowing. It starts with cold air first but then soon warms up.
