Been discussing with Mrs Kenty about the best way to see Ireland, we have 3-4 weeks and I would quite like to take the car and caravan.
Has anybody taken the car and caravan over on the ferry and toured Ireland? What ferry or ferry company route do you think is the best? What about the costs?
Caravan sites, are there plenty and are they easy to book?
How did you get on with the narrow roads?

Any info will be gratefully received!

Is not Holyhead now the only departure port for Ireland?

There is also \Fishguard-Rosslare crossing.

Cannot offer any advice as last time I did that crossing was 1985!

No, there is Liverpool to Dublin for one.

Just done a long weekend in Kerry with a motorhome, took the ferry from Liverpool to Dublin, very easy.
Some beautiful campsites if you do the ring of Kerry.

Did the whole coast a couple of weeks ago on a motorbike. Some of those roads are small, if you had to back a caraven down one I would suggest the fuller of your talent bags.
Camped a few times and stayed in B&Bs the rest. Was surprised at the cost but that is probably due to unfairly comparing it to E Europe.
Really great people but you may have to practise your Oirish comprehension if you are out in the wilds. I was put on translation detail more than once.
