Probably daft toilet question
Discussion
Im going to a mini festival and have got a portable toilet which essentially is a bucket with a lid. It will only be used for numbers 1's in the night but what it best to do with the wee in the morning? There is no waste facilities but there is a stream and portaloos. (They are miles away from where i am and have 2 small kids.
Thanks
Thanks

ok fab, thats what i was thinking but didnt want to look stupid in case there was such a thing to go in the toilet/bucket like a cat litter senario.....
We use Cat litter to fill the bucket all the time in fact, we don't bother without chemical toilet as it is easier for me. It soaks up a surprising amount and makes it simple to just take to the nearest bin and throw away with virtually no mess.shatter said:

This... Cat litter works well for No2's as well. Shaw Tarse said:
TBH, if it's only wee I'd pour it on grass.
Small festivals probably OK. At medium to large gatherings it can cause spikes in Ammonia in streams and rivers poisoning fish and other aquatic life. Glastonbury has been prosecuted for just this.Kitty litter and into a bin is best.
