Already fitted with T6 Tracker, Thatcham Alarm/Imobiliser and just picked up a DiskLok for the streering wheel and a wheel clamp.

Going spin seats and padlock them into place as well while in storage.

Its going to a fairly secluded but secure storage location and I am fitting cctv there too.

Even thought about pulling the fuel pump fuse too.

Other than that, if they get past that lot, they deserve it.

Many thanks all of you and hi the the VX220 Gang.

Currently running a modified Mini Cooper S and my weekend & track car. Should be going on a trailer too for longer times away in the van.

Well she is home, just fits on the drive for loading and unloading, which is good.

Off to local camping shops tomorrow for accessories.

Here she is (Martha) before we left the sellers this morning.

Nice... but i would say that as it looks identical to mine.

Only real difference looks to be the wheels and i have a roof mounted awning rather than side mount. I did not go for a side mount because no one i spoke to could identify the correct bracket to mount a side awning high up like yours is. Everyone said they would use the standard brackets which would likely mean door/awning interference. Looks like at least one awning fitter out there knows of the correct side mount bracket.

If you have any questions regarding anything at all on the van feel free to ask as I understand ours pretty well now! In fact i’ve just written this whilst lying on the bed in ours

Take a look at passive trackers that aren't transmitting all the time. Thieves are good at scanning for and removing them.

A dealer I know had 2 MHs stolen on the same night: both fitted with active trackers and 1 fitted with a passive one. The CCTV footage showed the thieves removing both the active trackers before driving the MHs away. Only 1 MH was recovered: the one with the passive tracker.

I have no idea of the proportions relative to high end cars. There has certainly been a spate of MHs based on recent Transit chassis being stolen.

The high number of instances of Transits being stolen (not just motorhome/campervan versions) is largely down to rubbish door locks, the availability of a generic ‘key’ on eBay etc and the ready access to the OBD port. We fitted aftermarket Hykee replacement locks, a heavy duty OBD lockable port box and used a Disklok steering wheel cover and Clutch Claw box over the pedals to our last Transit which seemed to deter the toerags.

Just a quick up-date.

We love it! Been away 4 times since collection and have 4 trips booked already for 2019.

2 Skiing
1 European
1 UK

And that’s before the summer!

Have to say the Pilote G series is a fantastic layout and works really well for us as a family.

If you are planning to visit France, suggest you think about joining France Passion. No, don't worry...it is not what the name might suggest! We have spent many memorable trips staying on vineyards and small farms...often parking up so close to the vines that we could reach out and pick the grapes.

Winterberg, Germany for a trial/tester trip for 5 days.

Then 2nd trip will be Solden, Austria for 7days then up to Amsterdam for Dutch bulb fields. Solden site has EHU, Water, Waste, Cable Tv and Gas all on the pitch and they seem to have a special trick to stop water freezing in their distribution system.

Honestly can not wait.

Vex consider fitting trace heating tape to the waste pipes. They seem to be the first to freeze then you can’t use anything.

Basically uses electrics to warm the pipes when it gets cold.

Tank and pipework is all internal in the double floor, so the only external pipe is the acutal evac pipe. I think even the waste valve is internal.

Will check, but planning on, once open, it stays open and evacuates straightaway to either a wide-mouthed waste (grey only) builders tub or down the drain point on the pitch.
